Love the "invisible" holes, and my dog really appreciates the lower noise level. It sinks pins perfectly in both Oak and pine right out of the box. I don't use my 18 Ga nailer much anymore. Just got the nailer (pinner). last week.
My only disappointment is that the 23-gauge fasteners are not commonly found at Home Depot or Lowes. Carpentry/woodworking is my hobby and I use several air nailers on projects ranging from light construction and remodeling to furniture. Great product.Bob Bartlow However, they are easy to order from Amazon and a pack of 3,000 will last a long, long time. The Bostitch 23-gauge pin nailer proved to be what I needed for work on furniture projects. The driven pins are virtually invisible and work equally well in soft wood or the most dense hardwood.
Would highly recommend it. Used it alot without any problems. Used this to attach the trim and door stops when installing the interior doors of my house. It leaves a very small hole which is hard to detect without looking for it.
Bostitch has a loyal customer for life. This is a sweet gun. Bostitch makes the best tools for my money.
I drove 1" pins into red oak and they went fully below the surface. I received this pin nailer as a birthday gift and have used it mostly for nailing very small pieces together for children's toys. I found myself almost firing into the air when moving from one position to another.Good price and good range of pins driven.Well satisfied and would do it again. When set to the lighter setting they did protrude but that was expected.Care must be used with the trigger arrangement but this is common for these machines. I am very impressed with the ease of use and smooth handling. I had read other reviews about it not fully seating the pins but never found this to be the case.
